Dear Mission Supporter:

Thank you for your interest in either our tour package or mission teams. We have developed this in response to the increasing interest in travel to Russia and the need to assist with the work there. We have our very own parishioners as translators, drivers, and cooks. We also hope that one of your two check-through bags could be filled with 70 pounds of valuable supplies for the mission.

As you look through the information, if you are considering being a member of a mission team, consider how your talents and abilities are so greatly needed in the Russian Far East. Also keep in mind what a wonderful experience it will be to visit this land closed to outsiders for so many years. You are such an example to the parishioners that you care, that you might have prayed for them all your life.

Atheistic Communism succeeded in totally destroying all signs of the Catholic Church. It also destroyed Russian families, the economy, and culture. While things are turning around, a tremendous amount of work still lies ahead. Homes, parishes, and social structures are being rebuilt. This movement is truly of historical importance, especially for our Catholic Church.

If you would like to play an active part in history and help in this monumental task, then prayerfully consider joining us.

Each traveler procures his or her own air transportation. Use frequent flyer miles on United, Northwest, American, or Delta to fly to Inchon, Korea. We meet in Inchon to travel by Korean Air to Vladivostok. Twice a week, a flight arrives in Vladivostok, on Tuesday and Saturday. Aeroflot (Russian) airline travels more frequently, but we choose to use very well cared-for Korean Air (Delta). Air Canada also flies from Vancouver to Inchon with a 45-minute shuttle from Seattle.

Korean Air from Los Angeles (LAX) is the only airline that arrives in Inchon early in the morning for departure the same day for Vladivostok. All other airlines come in later in the day, so accommodations must be made in Inchon for the night before. Inchon, the second largest airport in the world, is a beautiful new facility about 40 miles outside of Seoul. There is an airport hotel for guests awaiting flights.

Reservations can be made from your point to Vladivostok with Barbara Garcia, a helper of the mission, who is in Seattle. She can be reached at Barbarhouplingarcia@aaa.win.com ,

AAA Travel agency Phone: 425-369-2604. By booking through her, the best possible rates will be obtained. She will also assist with the Russian consulate in Seattle for invitations and visas for tourism and business. Barbara will complete the process.

Fr. Myron in Vladivostok will handle humanitarian and religious invitations.

Please consider helping us in transporting needed supplies and goods to the mission in Russia. It is such a help to our parishioners! Seventy pounds fills up fast.

God love you and your families.
